At a Los Angeles paint manufacturing company, he supervised three accounting departments for over 10 years before moving to Oregon in 1993. After employment in asbestos removal and panelized construction, Craig returned to the paint industry with us. He is in charge of our accounting, daily business operations and estimating shop projects. Craig enjoys the outdoors, deep forest multi-day hikes, bass and fly fishing, and other outdoor activities. He is the proud father of six sons and one daughter, grandfather of many and is blessed with a beautiful, one and only wife since 1981.

In 1997, she started at Saylor Painting in a computer IT and office system development position, but she quickly discovered her strong interest in estimating and customer contact. Dawn is responsible for Saylor’s interior/exterior estimating and sales, while continuing as resident IT support. In her spare time, she plays piano, guitar and ukulele.

Thomas Pelkey, foreman

Joined Saylor Painting Company in 2006. Pursuing his passion for food, Thomas completed the Culinary Arts program at Linn-Benton Community College, leading to a career in fine dining kitchens in the Eugene area as part of the Willamette Valley’s booming culinary scene. Through his father’s work, he became acquainted with the painting trade and found a parallel passion. While the jump from cooking to painting sounds like a stretch, both demand sharp senses, dexterity, timing and intense teamwork transforming a commodity into something beautiful, enjoyed by the whole community. Building on his introduction to management in the kitchen, Thomas advanced to crew leader and is now foreman, supervising all field operations. Raised in the Willamette Valley, he loves the outdoors and the diverse beauty of Oregon. His wife is an Educational Assistant. They are proud parents of two great boys and are active members of their community.

When not at work, Timothy enjoys camping, backpacking, fishing, watching sports, and while it’s raining, playing video and board games. Timothy is happily married and has a beautiful young energetic daughter who loves to partake in all of his activities.
